Supporting Creative Puzzle Solving Around The World


Initiated by Professor Ernõ Rubik, the Rubik’s Cube Speedsolving Association (RCSA) was established to promote and support competitive puzzle solving and the educational use of puzzles around the world. The RCSA is a not-for-profit organisation based in Budapest, Hungary and it works in partnership with preeminent brands and a wide range of corporate and philanthropic sponsors.


Establishing and maintaining a safe legal background of all events, activities and participant competitions involving solving Rubik’s Cubes and other twisty puzzles.


Sponsoring and assisting the World Cube Association (WCA) and other organisers with the running of such competitions.


Recruiting new generations of competitors.


Developing, marketing and promotion of speedsolving.


Bringing speedsolving and puzzles to schools and education.


Work with corporate sponsors to assist with meeting the aims of the RCSA and looking after the needs of sponsors to develop long term sustainable partnerships.

World Cube Association (WCA)

The RCSA seeks to establish a close collaboration with the WCA members in organising competitions on a local, regional, national and international level. The RCSA is committed to contributing such events by supporting WCA organising members as well as offering sponsorships for competitors and prizes.

The home of the world famous Rubik’s Cube! The Rubik’s Cube is a puzzle invented in 1974 by the Hungarian sculptor and professor of architecture Ernõ Rubik. It took the world by storm in the 80’s and continues to be a cultural icon to this day.

Rubik’s Brand Ltd

Rubik’s Brand Ltd was formed in 2013-a new administrative entity based out of Seven Towns London office. The RCSA operates under exclusive license from Rubik’s Brand Ltd to promote speedcubing worldwide using the Rubik’s trademarks.
